🎷 How long have you been playing the saxophone?
I started playing the saxophone at 9 years old, so that equates to 24 years altogether. Professionally, I have been playing for over 16 years. (As of January 6, 2026)🎷 Do you perform at weddings, corporate parties, birthdays, etc.?
Yes, I do! If you would like to book me to perform, you may contact me at [email protected] or +63-917-704-3436.🎷 What kind of music do you perform?
I play a wide variety of genres such as jazz, pop, ballads, disco, EDM, latin, rock and R&B.🎷 Do you play with a band?
For most events, I play without a band: it's just my saxophone and professional-quality backing tracks. If you would like me to perform at your event with a band backing me up, we can arrange for that to happen.🎷 Why do you have an accent while speaking English/Tagalog?
I was raised in Las Vegas, NV, USA. I moved back to the Philippines in 2010 after graduating from high school.🎷 Where did your moniker "Prince of Saxophone" come from?
I don't remember who exactly started it, but someone did call me that while I was relatively new here in the Philippines and I guess it just stuck after all these years!🎷 Are you related to Ramon "RJ" Jacinto?
Long story short: we aren't entirely sure. But my late grandfather, Jorge "Doy" Jacinto, looked strikingly similar to RJ. Likewise, some of my uncles claim that we are related to RJ, but we can't definitively prove or disprove the theory.🎷 Where can we watch you perform live?
Right now, I'm taking a break from doing public gigs. However, you can still watch me occasionally in reruns of RJTV's musical shows.Tuesday: Bravo Executive Lounge show, 8pm
Thursday: Let's Groove show, 8pm
Friday: TGIRJ with RJ & the New Riots, 9pm🎷 Who are your influences on the saxophone?
My main influences include David Sanborn, Dave Koz, Warren Hill, Eric Marienthal, Gerald Albright and Kenny G.🎷 Do you have a day job apart from being a musician?
Currently, I'm a musical director on Celebrity Cruises. I lead and supervise the entire music department while also playing the saxophone in the orchestra as their band leader. My main focus nowadays is performing as a Guest Entertainer on different cruise lines around the world, under the entertainment agency of Blackburn International based in the UK.Previously, I was the head of RJ Productions under Rajah Broadcasting Network, which encompasses the nationwide TV channel RJTV. I also worked as a sound engineer for the company.
